Residing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, singer-songwriter and guitarist, Liloe Barend is the mastermind behind the musical project, Liloe Rix.

Liloe sees herself as a woman, an optimist, a human who sees the good in the bad. Music is her tool and her method to find and explore answers to the questions of life and her surroundings, as well as sharing stories that inspire others.

“It is a nice feeling as an artist you can inspire other people, like other people inspire me with their stories.” Liloe Rix

Debuting into the music scene in 2015 with her first EP, Liloe draws inspiration for her writing from artists such as Maggie Rogers, HAIM, Alice Merton, KT Tunstall, Sigrid, Dodie, Hayley Williams, Phoebe Bridgers and Tash Sultana.

Produced by Huub van Loon, alongside Dr. Strange, Winston and Snaat (the three studio cats), the latest single from Liloe Rix, ‘The Limit’ is the second single release from her upcoming EP, ‘Imperfections’, which will be released in November of this year.

‘The Limit’ explores the idea that it’s ok to look over your horizons and expand your boundaries, however, also acknowledging that it’s also ok to have limits for ourselves.

“Our generation have so many possibilities and choices, so it is important to set some priorities. But what if you find that really difficult and you want to get everything out of this life, then you forget your own limit sometimes. You fall and you get back on your feet and you learn from that. So this song is a little reminder to myself that it is better to listen to my own limit sometimes.” Liloe Rix
