For New Zealand raised and Gold Coast, Australia based singer-songwriter, Hannah May, is a creative storyteller at heart, focusing on themes, within her music of environmental issues, love and relationships.
Entering into the public eye in 2015, Hannah May was a finalised in the X Factor New Zealand as one half of the country duo, Mae Valley, the duo released a number of chart topping tracks and opened for the likes of Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini.
Hannah May is now creating her own solo path of indie folk music exploration, seeking to find and share her light in a time that is filled with darkness.
Inspired by the sound of Jack Johnston, Hannah May’s latest poetic single, ‘Earthside’ is an emotional, heart wrenching lullaby, born out of the unconditional love she felt towards her unborn niece at the time of writing and her need to protect, as a family member.
The rhythmic acoustic guitar track, combined with the vulnerability and beauty in Hannah May’s vocals will have you drawn into every word and note.
