LEEPA Talks of Co-Dependency in Toxic Relationships With Single, ‘Blood’

In her early 20’s, Berlin based indie pop artist, LEEPA began her impressive music career after breaking through the industry with her viral videos on TikTok.

Since that time, she has shared the stage with artists like Milky Chance, and reached number two in the ‘Newcomer of the year’ awards for Radio New Music Awards in 2021.

Her singles, ‘Misery Loves Company’, ‘Switch Places’ and ‘I’m Sorry, Are You?’ have all reached the hearts of fans all over the world, each reaching over a million plays on Spotify.

The latest single from LEEPA, ‘Blood’, is a nostalgic and catchy fusion of pop and rock n’ roll influences and was inspired after a phone call with a close relative.

Blood’s lyrics speak deeply about co-dependency in toxic relationships, and while she has written the song about a close blood relative – the inspiration for the name of the song – she can recognise herself within this at times as well.

“We all feel the same things, just for different reasons” LEEPA

If you’re looking for a heartbreak anthem, reminiscent of Avril Levigne, be sure to check out ‘Blood’.
