Below is an eclectic mix of five new releases that we are vibing with right now.
1. Run By The River – Ali Gilbert
Based in Tamworth in the United Kingdom, singer/songwriter, Ali Gilbert has been creating and performing his own music since the age of 18 and has created a style of his own, along his journey of teaching himself the art of playing music.
With a sound influenced by the likes of Plan B, Sam Fender, The 1975, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini and Motown, his latest single follows the success of his debut five track EP, ‘Truth Be Told’, which features two songs, ‘Runaway’ and ‘Only You’, about his real life reflections on love, rejection and mental health.
Produced by Ben Stancombe, Ali Gilbert’s latest single release, ‘Run By The River’ is based on a fictional character and faces the themes of confession and redemption.

Listening through the track, you will be captivated by the warm and emotive vocals and acoustic feel as Ali tells the story of a character “confessing all his sins and seeking redemption on what he believes to be his last chance of forgiveness”.

2. Heal – May Roze
Born and raised in Switzerland and currently residing in London, United Kingdom, alt-pop artist, May Roze began her musical journey at the age of three and has never looked back. She spent her early years performing in musicals and has spent years built her own sound as a solo artist.
Inspired by Kate Bush, Sade, Björk and Enya, May has played at venues all across the world, including Switzerland, London, New York and Paris and took part in the semi-finals of the swiss Eurovision.
The latest single release from May Roze, ‘Heal’, is the second single release from her upcoming EP release, ‘Heal’, a reflection on one chapter closing, whilst another joyful and smooth chapter opens.

Throughout the track you are completely drawn into the delicate and airy vocals of May Roze, as the contrast is introduced through the soundscape of synth and the rhythmic percussion.

3. It Feels New – Far West
United States based artist and producer, Ryan Settles is the musical mind behind the indie pop project, Far West.
Influenced by the likes of The 1975, Day Wave, Naked and Famous and M83, Ryan begin his solo music project in 2020 as a way to express his creativity while his band was taking some downtime. Since that time, he has now released 9 singles.
The latest single release from Far West, ‘It Feels New’ is a fun, energetic and feel-good indie pop/rock song, driven by guitars, synths and a driving, catchy beat.
The lyrics focus on the feelings felt as you’re with someone, as if it’s new. You get the picture that you’re lying on a beach in the summer and that the feeling is never going to end.
If you’re looking for a happy, uplifting and generally good vibes song, ‘It Feels New’ is sure to have you completely hooked!

4. Dear, – The NGHBRS (EP)
Hailing from Los Angeles, United States, singer, songwriter and producer, Ryan Venezia is the brains behind the musical project, The NGHBRS, which began in 2018.
Influenced by the likes of Jeremy Zucker, Travis Barker, The Lumineers, Ryan writes, records, produces and mixes and masters his own music in the comfort of his Los Angeles home studio.
In December 2021, we had the honour of interviewing Ryan all about his single release ‘Better Off’, the fourth single release off his EP. You can read the article here.
He now returns with his complete five track debut EP release, ‘Dear,’.
When reflecting about the inspiration for the creation of ‘Dear,’, Ryan says “Life kind of inspired it. I try to put how I feel into the music and let everything flow naturally.”
The five tracks on the EP, take you on a winding and relatable journey through the experiences of love, attraction, doubt, overthinking and a relationship ending.
Listening through, your ears are filled with mesmerizingly warm vocals and captivating guitar lines, wrapped in raw emotion and a laid-back feel.. the beats within the tracks are soulful and work to heighten the sentiment of the journey taken.

5. New Man – Lomipo
Israel based Shai Pinto (vocals, guitar, bass, production) and Orian Rose (piano, synth, drums, production) are the duo behind indie pop pair, Lomipo.
Shai and Orian came together after meeting during their mandatory service in the Navy Army band. Shai was the drummer and Orian was the guitarist. Since Israel summer 2020, they have been coming together to continue to make music and have never looked back.
“This is about making the music that we like the most and putting ourselves out there” Orian Says, “We are influenced by many different artists so we don’t want to be defined by a specific genre”, Shai adds, “This is the start of the road and we hope that we’ll get to follow it wherever it takes us”.
The latest single from Lomipo, ‘New Man’ is a story about the journey that Orian took to New York and the changes in his experiences and his struggles to ‘make it’.
The track is raw, deep and emotional, yet contains a vibe of positivity and almost feels uplifting. You will hear a catchy beat and percussion, subtle harmonies and lyrics that will hook you in.
