Originally from Colorado, Jawson Dell’s musical roots run deep. His journey began at just eight years old with violin lessons, but his true passion was always singing. Inspired by early seasons of American Idol, Jawson spent his childhood singing in the shower and recording his original songs on cassette tapes. Growing up, he immersed himself in a diverse range of musical genres, from Jazz and Gospel to Blues, Motown, Rock, and Classical, influences that continue to shape his eclectic sound today.
Despite pursuing a double major in business and accounting, Jawson’s love for music never faded. He took vocal lessons while completing his degree and stayed active in his school’s orchestra. After graduation, Jawson moved to Chicago, where he began performing at his local church and quickly became a fixture in the city’s open mic scene.
